Red Issue has learnt from an impeccably placed source at
Manchester City that Kevin Keegan will leave the club at the
end of the season. Amazingly, Roman Abramovich has lined him
up as the next manager at Chelsea, providing he brings a
defensive coach with him. According to our source, Ranieri
has decided to walk away after the unfair pressure he has
been under this season, and with Eriksson signing a new deal
with England, Chelsea have moved for Keegan. They hope that
with money to spend, and a firm defensive regime brought in
by a top coach, he may be able to reproduce the football
seen at St James’ Park in the mid nineties.
