The Manchester United goalkeeper fumbled a shot to allow Hernan Crespo to grab the winner for AC Milan.Carroll has rejected a pay-as-you-play contract offer from United and is unhappy that he is not seen as the Old Trafford No1.
But after getting away with allowing Pedro Mendes' 45-yard shot to squirm over the line against Tottenham last month, this latest blunder has surely made up boss Alex Ferguson's mind that Carroll is not the answer to his goalkeeping problems.
