Ferguson spoke to Sky after the match:
"I think Arsenal need to drop five points if we're to get second spot, as long as we win our games. We have difficult games against West Brom and Southampton, and a lovely fixture against Chelsea, which should be a terrific match.
Arsenal have got some interesting fixtures themselves, they've got Everton and Liverpool at home so you never know. At least we know Everton and Liverpool are fighting for something. I think we have to keep on doing what we're doing, and take this form into the Cup Final and it should be a great game."
Curbishley told Sky:
'It was bewildering at times. You can't defend like that against Man United. Man United don't need the leg-up. Some of the things we've done beggars belief.'
