Pique Will Be Ok - Fergie

Pique, who replaced Rio Ferdinand 20 minutes from the end of the 2-2 draw against Middlesbrough on Sunday, is likely to stand-in for Ferdinand at the heart of the United defence as the England international recovers from a foot injury.

"Pique came on and did brilliantly. He was marvellous," said Ferguson.

"The lad's a terrific player and I think that actually helped us.

"We've got great confidence in the lad and he's come through very well."

United go into the 2nd leg at Old Trafford on Wednesday night with a 2-0 lead over the Italian side.
