PHIL OPENS HIS HEART

Much was made of Roy Keane’s shove on Phil Neville during the Sunderland game and you did not need to be a lip-reader to see what Phil thought of it himself.

"My reaction made everyone laugh," Neville said. "Someone said that if I had said that to them, they would have knocked me out. Roy and I get on. It was just sheer frustration on his part."

"At the moment I'm just thinking short-term, Nicky Butt and Roy Keane are back next month but in that month we are playing Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City and Newcastle. It's a great opportunity for me. I never wanted to leave United, but if it was affecting my life off the pitch, I may have to consider my future. If it meant I wasn't enjoying going to work because I wasn't playing. But I've had reassurance from my manager and team-mates. They're the only people that matter. And the supporters have always been great to me."
