For the second time in less than 12 months, an English broadcaster has made racist remarks on air. Former Arsenal player, and now Sky Sports pundit, Frank McLintock is reported to have used the word n*gger on a phone in show. The Mirror takes up the story,
‘Frank McLintock last night sparked another TV race row after using the word "n*gg*r" on a live broadcast. The Arsenal legend and Sky Sports pundit stunned viewers during a phone-in show as he criticised the management set-up at Spurs which caused Jacques Santini to quit.
‘Referring to Santini's departure just 13 games into the season, McLintock said: “It's like ten little n*gg*rs, isn't it?” The remark came just weeks after ITV pundit Ron Atkinson was sacked in disgrace for labelling Marcel Desailly a “fucking thick lazy n*gg*r” earlier this year.
‘When asked to explain his comments last night, McLintock, 64, said: “If you have seen it, you will be able to make up your own mind.”
