The Independent:
PSV confirmed last week that United had made an enquiry about Park and the player himself admitted he was considering the move.
Park has apparently reached a decision and told his manager Guus Hiddink he wishes to leave. Hiddink, who also insisted it is possible Park "just stays at PSV", said: "Later this week we will speak again with Park's agent. Then more will become clear."
PSV chairman Rob Westerhof made it clear the 24-year-old would not be allowed to leave cheaply.
Westerhof said: "Simply because of his marketing worth Manchester United can earn a lot of money through him. If it comes to a transfer, we will only accept an offer from Manchester United that is a reflection of that."
The Guardian:
Ferguson will hope the proposed transfer of Park Ji-sung from PSV Eindhoven is a much less complicated affair, but he will be acutely aware Chelsea are now reportedly interested in the South Korean midfielder.
PSV's spokesman Pedro Salazar-Hewitt would not comment on the speculation involving Chelsea. "The situation is exactly the same as last week," he said. "We have been informed that Manchester United want our player and we have informed him of this."
