Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed Jadon Sancho is expected to begin training with Manchester United on Monday, while also giving the latest on Raphael Varane.
Both players are due to star for the Red Devils this season, though visa difficulties have seen the official confirmation for Varane's move delayed.
Neither were involved as United thumped Everton 4-0 in a pre-season friendly on Saturday, but both were seen on social media enjoying the goalfest.
Speaking after the victory, Solskjaer revealed he hopes to have the pair training with the rest of his squad as soon as possible.
He said as quoted by United's website: “Of course the medical with Raphael has to be done.
“He’s isolating at the moment, he had to wait for visas, so unfortunately that took a few more days than expected but we’re gonna follow the protocols and the rules so it’s took a few more days than we hoped for.
“Jadon is in for Monday and hopefully then he’s in decent nick and can be involved.
“Hopefully, we'll get Raphael and Jadon in with the group. That's important for us when you sign two players like that, that you get them in.”
United were impressive in their rout of Everton, with Mason Greenwood, Harry Maguire, Bruno Fernandes and Diogo Dalot all getting on the scoresheet.
With the signings of Sancho and Varane, United are among the favourites for the Premier League title alongside champions Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool. They finished second last season and also suffered heartbreak in the Europa League final, losing on penalties to Villarreal.
