Reuters report that Yorke is going down.....................under:
Dwight Yorke has signed to play for Sydney in the new Australian A-League, which kicks-off in August.
Sydney chief executive Andy Harper told Australian television on Sunday that the 33-year-old former Manchester United forward had agreed terms with his club, but would not reveal how much the player would be paid.
"Suffice to say that he's come here for a lot less money than he could have made in the Middle East, and I think that speaks volumes for exactly what he wants to achieve out of this move," Harper said.
"He could quite easily have gone (elsewhere) for a great deal more money and retired even wealthier."
Yeah but the birds on Manly beach certainly beat what's on offer in Saudi Arabia!

"I've still got the hunger in me, so I definitely want to play on next season.
"Nothing's been sorted yet with my contract and I'll be speaking to Glenn (Goddle) before any decision's made.
"Glenn's done a good job and I've enjoyed playing with him."

He has said that he will play for another year - as yet club is not known. He says: "There has been no offer yet but I'm still enjoying myself so I'd like to carry on playing."
