"I didn't play as often as I would have liked when I was at United so I don't know how the fans there remember me.
"I enjoyed my time at United. It was an honour being a player for the biggest club in the world, but I wanted to play often and that was why I decided to leave.
"It is a regret of mine that I didn't really show the form that made United buy me. They were right to expect a lot more from me, but I never really felt a regular in the team.
"I don't think anyone in Manchester will want me to play well now I am with Sparta but, of course, I will be hoping to do well for Sparta and help the team to a famous victory.
"It will be nice to go back to Old Trafford again - but only if we get a good result."
Poborsky added: "We felt that we should have won against United in Prague. We were the better team, but couldn't take our chances."

A new Red Issue came out last Sunday and will be available on Wednesday. We know the sellers are ugly, but when approached, they are really quite nice. If you cannot face them or cannot always get to the match then why not take out a subscription. |
