"Wes's contract is up at the end of the season. We have made the boy an offer, he has turned it down, now it is his decision. No further talks are planned.
"Of course we would like to avoid a situation where he leaves on a free transfer but it is his decision. If he wants to look elsewhere, that is up to him, there is nothing you can do with the modern-day footballer.
"But if he wants to stay and enjoy what he has enjoyed for the last few years, fine. We would love that. He has an agent and for some reason he has given him advice that I don't understand.
"With Roy, we have made him an offer too. He's in a similar situation to Wes, he has turned the offer down."
