From the Evening News:

United will lay out the welcome mat for major shareholder Malcolm Glazier when they tour America this summer. The owner of Tampa Bay Buccaneers has steadily increased his stake in the Old Trafford club to 18.25%.

Chief executive David Gill is hoping to link up with Glazier again next month following a recent meeting in Florida.

"He will hopefully tie up with us when we are on tour there in the summer," Gill told BBC GMR.

"I am sure he and some of his family will come to a game and we will be delighted to see them there."

Gill is adamant there was nothing mysterious about his meeting with Glazier, who could yet launch a takeover bid.

"It was just a normal investment meeting which happened to take place in Florida, " he said.

"I was there to discuss the club and discuss our results for the previous six months.

"It is the first time I have seen them since then and we discussed what is happening in the club on the commercial side etc."
