Ryan Giggs and Wes Brown will be offered new Manchester United deals.
Both are in the final year of their contracts.
But while winger Giggs, 33, can expect a 12-month extension, Brown, 27, is due for a four-year offer.
Defender Brown was concerned talks had not been held.
But Reds supremo David Gill said: "Wes likes it here and we will be looking to extend his deal."
However the Mirror says that Giggs may not be offered a new deal as they quoted Capable Hands as saying: "We haven't spoken to Ryan yet. I expect we will sit down at some point. We're always relaxed about Ryan because we trust him and he trusts us."
