"The league is very important to us but I think we're all looking forward to the Champions League and I think we now have the squad to win both.
"The Milan defeat was very disappointing last season. Unfortunately, the away game came at the wrong time for us. We had a lot of injuries at that point and were playing games Saturday, Wednesday, Saturday, Wednesday, so weren't as sharp as we might have been.
"Milan lived for that game. They were able to focus on that one match because they didn't have the league or cup to think about.
"We were desperate to win that match but we didn't have the power to give our maximum performance. That was no the real Manchester United."
