David Beckham is to be best man at the wedding of ex-Hollyoaks beauty Davinia Taylor.

Groom Dave Gardner, 26, has asked the star to take on the role when he marries Davinia — who used to date Beckham’s Man Utd teammate Ryan Giggs.

England skipper Beckham was honoured and accepted immediately, according to friendsSports agent Dave played youth football with Becks, 27, and the pair are inseparable.

One pal said: “Becks was over the moon. He is looking forward to it but he’ll be nervous about the speech.

“He was honoured to be asked. Dave and Davinia have had a bit of a whirlwind romance but they’re very much in love.

“It’ll be a no-expense spared wedding but we reckon there will be a glossy mag deal to help pay for it.”
