Eagles is still waiting for a start in the Premiership but has started three times in all this season featuring in Big Cup and Fizzy Cup games, plus a bunch of bench warming jobs

"Every game you are involved in for the first team is amazing. I can't wait," he told us as the team jetted off to Istanbul. Every time you travel with the first-team you gain experience. Playing in Turkey in the Champions League is going to be a completely different experience compared to playing at Old Trafford - especially for the younger lads. The pressure may be off us to qualify, but I think it is still there for me and some of the other players because you want to impress the manager all the time."

Eagles told the fishal site that he has enjoyed just training with more established players:

"It helps if you've been training with these players for a few weeks; even just getting used to the more experienced players passing to you in training - it all helps. For some of the older players, they can perhaps help us and give us more of the ball."

And he knows what it is to be a United player:

"It's going to be a fast game and the crowd will obviously be behind them. But you get that everywhere because everyone wants to beat us."

Kieran Richardson also sees tonight's game as an opportunity to impress:

"The manager hasn't said anything to us just yet, but I know he will tell us to go out there and enjoy ourselves - we're not just coming here as an experiment, we all want to win, get three points and top the group. I know the gaffer will be upset if we lose," he added. "It's very important to be on these trips because we can gain experience in all aspects of the game."

And as if calculated to get under the skin of those who play for the Premiership's lesser clubs - such as Nicholas Anelka for example, Richardson added:

"The Champions League is the best quality of football you can get - you won't get a higher standard than playing in Europe."
