'The 25-year-old playmaker suffered a knee injury whilst representing Italy against Russia on Wednesday, and it was feared he could miss some crucial games for Rossoneri. However club doctor Jean Pierre Meersseman declared that the ex-Internazionale man will return for the vital away leg at Old Trafford on February 23, and could even make his comeback in the Serie A game against Cagliari four days earlier.
"Pirlo has less pain in comparison to the first hours after the injury," Meersseman told the club's official website. There are no forecasts, let's just say that he definitely won't play against Reggina.
"There is a chance for Milan against Cagliari, whilst he will definitely be at the coach's disposal for the away match in Manchester."
