"We are pawns, coaches' pawns, business leaders' pawns, like meat," said Silvestre. "Everyone acts according to their own interests."
Mikael Silvestre also says he will go to the Confederations Cup but thinks that too much is expected of international footballers.
"I haven't booked my holidays so I will go if I am called up," said Silvestre ‘but I don't think it's a good thing."
France also took part in last year’s Confederations Cup and Silvestre claims that France's woeful display in last year's World Cup was in part due to their efforts in the previous year's competition.
