``Everything is going so well at the moment, so I'm really pleased to have got my contract out of the way and be part of a team with the fighting spirit we have here,'' said the 25-year-old.
``In the last few weeks we have got ourselves back into the league, done well in Europe and now reached the semi-finals of the Worthington Cup.

``There was nothing decided with the manager at the start of this season but as we got more injuries I had to play in that position,'' he said. ``The manager knows I can handle it and so do I.
``It is a completely different role to full-back. You can't go forward as much and there are more defensive responsibilities.
``I like both positions but it has been going really well with Wes recently.''
``People might not have imagined we would be in this position but we are there now and we are going all out to get to Cardiff and win it,'' he said.
``You can't ignore the competition now we only have to play two more games to reach the final.''
