Fergie:
"The number of chances they had was embarrassing.
"It's a terrible result given the chances we had and we'll get justifiable criticism for the chances we missed.
"That's what happens so many times. You need the type of player like Ruud van Nistelrooy to finish matches. It's a pity.
"It means Liverpool need to beat Arsenal (today) and Everton on Wednesday also have to beat them.
"It's frustrating because if you look at our record over the season then it's not beating teams in the bottom half that has cost us. It's an embarrassment for the players.
"When I think back at the chances we have missed in these type of games - against Blackburn and Fulham - it's ridiculous.
"I think Ruud van Nistelrooy would have scored a few today, if he had been fit, but we have to be more ruthless next season, place more concentration on finishing, pay attention to that."
About the penalty incident which led to West Brom's leveller, adding: "Whether it's a penalty kick I couldn't see. When I think of the penalties that we have had turned down, it frustrates you."
Robbo:
"It's a good result for us because at least if we win our game a draw isn't good enough for the others and we've certainly put more pressure on them.
"I've already said, if we do stay up it will be the best achievement I've had in football.
"We're at home, we have a good chance. We want to put in a good performance and get a good result and put the pressure on the others.
"We do have home advantage which is different to the home advantage Southampton have got, because they have got to play Manchester United.
About the Russell Hoult injury which prevented him from moving swiftly enough to keep out Giggs' free-kick: "I don't think he realised how serious the injury was until then."
About the outstanding stand-in: "He's inexperienced but he's a real good athlete and he did really well for us."
