Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson and his staff were impressed by the Morocco internationals performance against his team at Old Trafford on Saturday, despite QPR losing 3-1.
It is being reported that Ferguson is losing patience with Ashley Young and with Portuguese winger Nani, after the pair have failed to live up to expectations and could be heading for the Old Trafford exit with Adel Taarabt is being see as a possible replacement.
United's cause may be helped by the fact that Taarabt was not a favourite of new QPR boss Harry Redknapp while that player was at Tottenham. Redknapp never started the player in a Premier League game and let Taarabt go on loan to Loftus Road before selling him for a bargain price of ?1 million.
Redknapp knows that he could get decent money for the talented but inconsistent player and would be tempted by any offers that came in for the midfielder.
Ferguson is well aware the Morocco international is still a work in progress but recognises that he has the ability to develop into a top class player that can compete against the best the Premier League has to offer.
