Following an early exit from the League Cup in midweek, Manchester United turn their attentions back to the Premier League as they host Aston Villa on Saturday.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men lost 1-0 at home to West Ham on Wednesday night, although the Norwegian did field a much-changed XI for the game. The story is very different when it comes to Premier League matters, though. United are third in the table - behind Chelsea and Liverpool on goal difference - after winning four and drawing one in their opening five fixtures.
Matchday six brings a tough test in the form of Aston Villa, who sit tenth in the table but are playing some excellent football in the early stages of the campaign.
To continue his side's decent league form, here's the lineup Solskjaer could go for on Saturday afternoon.
Manchester United predicted lineup vs Aston Villa - Premier League
1. Goalkeeper & Defenders
David De Gea (GK) - The hero of United's 2-1 league win away at the Hammers last weekend, saving Mark Noble's last-minute penalty - yes, I know, he actually saved a penalty. He's definitely earned another start here.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka (RB) - Had a terrible start to the Champions League campaign against Young Boys, although has looked good in domestic action thus far.
Raphael Varane (CB) - It's been a solid start to his Red Devils career, looking as composed as expected and even bagging an assist.
Harry Maguire (CB) - A certainty to start when available, the United skipper has earned the tag of one Europe's top central defenders over the past year or so, and will feature once more in the backline.
Luke Shaw (LB) - Hasn't slowed down since recapturing his form last year, and is a huge asset to Solskjaer's side.
2. Midfielders
Fred (CM) - There have been many, many questions asked about Fred in the United midfield and, while he visibly has a mistake in him, Solskjaer will likely stick with the Brazilian in his engine room.
Scott McTominay (CM) - Alongside him should be McTominay, who recovered from a groin injury to play the full 90 in his side's 2-1 win at the London Stadium last Saturday.
Bruno Fernandes (AM) - Absolutely crucial to this side, it seems unthinkable to have a Manchester United lineup without Fernandes in it. Already on four league goals this season, Villa should watch out.
3. Forwards
Mason Greenwood (RW) - After impressing with a cameo in midweek, Greenwood will likely come back into the fold for this encounter. Hasn't scored this month but, with three Premier League strikes to his name thus far, don't bet against him.
Cristiano Ronaldo (ST) - Can he keep this fairytale homecoming up? Probably.
Paul Pogba (LW) - Quite incredibly didn't get an assist last time out, but Pogba will always be capable of producing a bit of awe-inspiring magic to build on the seven assists he's managed so far this seasons.
