Manchester United have confirmed that they will take 'appropriate steps' following the conclusion of Cristiano Ronaldo's staggered interview with Piers Morgan.
The Red Devils announced earlier this week that they would wait and see the interview in its entirety before deciding on a course of action.
But after five nights of drama and discussions regarding various topics, United have now confirmed that they will be taking action.
"Manchester United has this morning initiated appropriate steps in response to Cristiano Ronaldo’s recent media interview," a club statement read.
"We will not be making further comment until this process reaches its conclusion."

Ronaldo was heavily critical of United during the interview despite reiterating his love for the club and the fans.
He revealed that he does not respect manager Erik ten Hag, intensely criticised the Glazer family and even lashed out at former teammates Wayne Rooney and Gary Neville.
Ronaldo did, however, speak of his admiration for former manager Sir Alex Ferguson and long-term rival Lionel Messi.
