The Guardian reports:
‘Malcolm Glazer is threatening to vote against the re-election of three Manchester United directors at tomorrow's annual shareholders' meeting, which would effectively be an declaration of war on the board.
‘A source close to the American said he was "still furious" at the board's decision to abandon takeover talks last month and itching to show his anger. But having failed to register a pre-meeting electronic vote he will now have to send a personal representative to Old Trafford tomorrow, an action which could inflame feelings at a meeting likely to be attended by at least 500 United fans.
‘The board members at risk are the commercial director Andy Anson and two non-executives, Maurice Watkins, who is also a legal adviser to the company, and Philip Yea, a United director since 2000.’
