The Guardian reports:
‘Manchester City are using tomorrow's visit of Roman
Abramovich's Chelsea to entertain Russian clients they hope
will eventually become investors in their club.
‘The visit of the three officials from Torpedo Metallurg is
part of the global strategy of City's chief executive
Alistair Mackintosh aimed at bringing funds into the club.
Mackintosh has also visited China and the United States in
recent months. Stadium construction and youth development
are among the subjects of most immediate interest to
Torpedo's president Yuri Belous.’
