Bayern Munich coach, Ottmar Hitzfeld, has hauled his players over the coals after their first defeat of the season in Germany and warned he is "expecting a win" against AC Milan tomorrow to revive their Champions League campaign.

"I have criticised some of the players heavily," Hitzfeld said after a team meeting yesterday following the 2-1 Bundesliga defeat against 10-man Bayer Leverkusen.

Olympiakos, Manchester United's Champions League opponents tomorrow, face a month without domestic league action after the top three divisions in Greece began a one-month strike yesterday over the collapse of a pay-TV channel and the government's subsequent refusal to fund a rescue package for cash-strapped clubs.
