Leeds sign Daniel James from Man Utd on 5-year deal

Daniel James has completed a permanent transfer from Manchester United to rivals Leeds, for a total fee believed to be in the region of £30m.

James almost joined Leeds on transfer deadline day in January 2019 - even to the point where he was holding up the shirt - before former club Swansea City pulled the plug on the deal.

The Welsh winger went on to move to Old Trafford for £15m later that year, and has since made 50 appearances in the Premier League for United - scoring six goals and creating seven.

Leeds have retained interest in James through his entire spell with their rivals, and saw an opportunity to swoop in after United acquired Jadon Sancho earlier this summer and most recently Cristiano Ronaldo.
