Leeds chief executive Trevor Birch:
"I would fully understand it if Mark Viduka told Australia where
to stick international football. What has happened is an
absolute disgrace - it's an outrage.
"The survival of Leeds is in jeopardy and we have this, all for
the sake of a Mickey Mouse game that took place on the
other side of the world. Australia do not deserve a
player of his calibre."
"Leeds United FC are outraged with the ASA's decision," said a
club statement. "It showed a complete lack of
understanding and compassion towards Mark, whose father
Joe is still critically ill in Australia.
"We are taking legal advice."
