United have come out and defended Gary Neville after his quotes appeared in the press yesterday apparently criticising Arsenal for their lack of 'local lads'.
Neville was quoted as saying:

"There will always be local lads in the Manchester United team while Alex
Ferguson is manager. The fans demand it."

What Gary Neville said is true but it wasn't a swipe at Arsenal. It was actually
what had appeared ion the matchday programme for the game against
Birmingham on February 5. Well before Wenger fielded a Foreign XI.
