LAST NIGHT'S MATCH NEWS. AND TONIGHT'S.
Over in Wrexham United’s reserves won 3-1, with Heinze, Kleberson, Phil Neville and Miller all turning out. Rossi, Miller and Frazier Campbell got the goals.
Tonight United play Antwerp. This from the MEN:
Roy Keane is set to get his first senior pre-season match under his belt tonight in Belgium as Manchester United finalise their XI for the Champions League kick-off next Tuesday.
"Roy picked up a wee groin strain at Walsall both otherwise he is fine and he should be fit for tonight," said Sir Alex Ferguson.
Fergie has only taken a small squad of seniors to Belgium with a couple of young players as insurance against injury because he wants players to get in a full 90 minutes and not travel for nothing.
The run-out in Antwerp will be United's final first team friendly before the Reds face either Hungarian champions Debreceni or Hadjuk Split of Croatia next Tuesday at Old Trafford in the Champions League qualifier first leg.
The tie will be shown on BBC TV and Ferguson is hoping to be able to field his nearest XI tonight in Belgium to the one he'll name for the Euro opener.
"The tour of the Far East was good. There was a lot of travelling but we weren't away for too long," Fergie added.
"The fitness of the squad is good. We have sectioned it off well over the friendly matches, ensuring players got their pieces of action.
"But now they need 90 minutes, which is why some played at Wrexham last night and the rest will play against Royal Antwerp tonight.”
