Laurent Blanc is a leading candidate to take over from Jacques Santini after he came top of a poll to with 21 per cent of the vote, Didier Deschamps polled 18 per cent, Michel Platini 15 per cent and Wenger 14 per cent.
Glenn Hoddle has submitted his CV to the French FA and is reported to have been granted an interview along with Tigana and Larry White. The final decision on who will succeed the new Spurs manager will be made on 10 July, by which time Santini's feet will be firmly under his new Tottenham desk.
Should Hoddle pull off the improbable and find himself in the French dug-out when they play Bosnia in a friendly in August, he will have swapped jobs with Santini, albeit over the course of nine months.
