United have issued a statement revealing the extent of Wes Brown's injury that he got against Everton on Sunday. Wes was stretched off after a run in with Wayne Rooney.

'Wes Brown has ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee,'

'Wes will undergo surgery shortly, and it will be into next season before he is fit.'

This is the young lad's third serious injury since he broke into the first team.
