"It was more or less what I expected. It was a hard game
with tight marking and I am going to try and adapt as
quickly as possible.
"I came to Manchester United hoping I could get into first
team and that's what I am going to try and do."
Gary Neville had some words of encouragement for him:
"It is going to take time for him to settle in. But he has
shown in training and for the reserves he's got some good
touches.
"As a World Cup winner he's got plenty of experience."
