KLEB SPEAKS

The official shite has done yet another of those fantastic interviews. This time it's new signing Kleberson who had the thrill of answering these difficult questions.

Were you ever concerned that the issue of your work permit would prevent you from moving to Manchester United?

"When the issue of the work permit came up, of course, obviously, I felt a little bit concerned that it would not go through. But, deep down I was always confident that it would work in my favour and the appeal would be successful. I knew everything would work out."

You're the first Brazilian to play for United; that must be a proud honour…

"I feel very privileged to be joining a club like this. It's the realisation of a dream for me to play
here."

Few Brazilian players have really made an impact in English football. Arguably only Juninho at Middlesbrough has been a success. Do you think you can break that trend and be successful here at Old Trafford?

"I wouldn't say I can better what any other Brazilian player has done in England, but I will say that, to the best of my ability, I will battle my way to great achievements with Manchester United."

Sir Alex Ferguson has made a point of signing young players this summer. Would you like to consider yourself the future, or next generation, of United?

"You can see that the manager is placing great emphasis on youth with the players he has signed. I am going to repay that and prove him right. My aim is to stay for a long time and achieve all the things the great players of the past have fulfilled here. I will stay for as long as it takes to achieve that."

What is the correct pronunciation of your name?

"Kleberson, as in 'clever son'! Or people can call me Kleb."
