The Mirror:
Corinthians spokesman Paulo Angioni said: "I have information that the player will be back in Sao Paulo with his agent and there is a good chance that we can sign him."
More in The Observer:
Corinthians have failed in their bid to sign Manchester United midfielder Kleberson, according to the player's agent.
Marcos Antonio e Silva, Kleberson's representative and godfather, had been negotiating with MSI, the investment group which controls the Brazilian club, for the 25-year-old to return to South America.
However, Silva said: 'Manchester didn't accept MSI's offer and there was not an agreement with the player for his salary.'
MSI reportedly offered £1.6million for Kleberson, who United signed in August 2003 for £5.93m from Atletico Paranaense. He is expected to return to England on Monday.
