KEWELL SCARES PARKER

Former United full back Paul Parker was talking to the Sun
about the possibility of Harry Kewell joining United.

"Kewell is a very, very good player and fits the mould of a
United player very well.

"He is unpredictable but not inconsistent and is very much
like Ryan Giggs in what he can bring to the team.

"Perhaps he doesn't have quite as much pace as Giggsy but he
creates so many opportunities and scores a lot of goals
himself.

"I don't see any reason why Kewell and Giggs can't play in
the same United team. United have made a habit of doing
things that other people said couldn't be done.

"The boss has a way of amalgamating his players in different
ways to get the best out of them.

"They are both left footed but Kewell can play on either
flank and can operate down the middle as well - so I don't
see any problems in fitting them both into the team at all.

"It was bad enough marking Giggsy in training because it
felt as though I needed my stomach strapping back together
afterwards because he twisted around so much.

"God knows what it would be like facing both of them.

"Wingers have changed so much in the six or seven years
since I finished playing. They don't just go up and down the
flank like conventional wingers used to.

"They are much more versatile these days and go inside
looking for the ball much more."
