Kenyon told BBC Radio 5 Live's Sportsweek programme, said: 'We have made it quite clear over the past five weeks, and especially to Manchester United, that Rio is not coming to Chelsea.
'Whatever happens there is down to them. It's certainly nothing to do with Chelsea, and anyway, look at our team. We've John Terry, Robert Huth, William Gallas and Ricardo Carvalho. This is not about collecting players. We've a great squad, although there are a few places we think we can strengthen, but central defence is not one of those areas.'
