Red-card Roy showed his emotional side by writing to referee David Elleray after he retired from the game, and the Harrow schoolmaster has reprinted the letter in his autobiography, The Man in the Middle.
Keane, firmly tongue in cheek, wrote: "I'm pleased to hear you're hanging up
your red card at last" ... before wishing him all the best.
