Boss Sir Alex Ferguson could have both Jones and Ferdinand in the starting line up.
Ferdinand lasted 70 minutes of the game with Wigan on New Year's Day, but the manager revealed that there is no danger of him missing out.
Ferguson said "I don't think we'll make too many changes.
"I think we'll more or less play a strong team and hopefully we'll get through."
Goalkeeper David de Gea is likely to be given a break so Anders Lindegaard might take his place between the sticks, also hoping for a start will be Danny Welbeck.
Robin van Persie, Michael Carrick, Patrice Evra and Ashley Young are all expected to start while it also looks likely that Paul Scholes will be given a recall into the side.
Anderson (hamstring) and Wayne Rooney (knee) remain out.
