One insider told The Sun: “The idea they are disillusioned with what is going on, or they have emergency plans to swing into operation is incorrect.
“They have always understood that, in football, there are good weeks and bad weeks, good seasons and bad ones. They are incredibly philosophical and the way the season has started has not changed their thinking at all.”
“They have been quite clear all along the running of the club is the responsibility of chief executive David Gill and the manager Sir Alex Ferguson.
“They are happy to take advice from them and they expect to still be owners of the club in 10 years.
“So speculation there will be some Hearts-style bust-up is wrong.
And then to rub it in the insider went on.

“And on the business side, season ticket sales were up at the beginning of the season so they are certainly not panicking at the moment.”
