* Ronaldo was captain last night whilst scoring a last minute winner for Portugal as they beat Kazakhstan 2-1. Nani came on as sub.
No doubt they'll come back fresh.
* Rooney scored (and gave away a penalty) as England lost to Russia putting their qualifying chances in jeopardy. Thet have to rely on Israel beating Russia, and that is assuming England beat Croatia at Wembley. Ferdinand also played.
Rooney:
"It was five minutes in the second half our concentration slipped and cost us.
"We were playing well, defending well but it was just two lapses in concentration."
