We may not have heard the last of Fergie and his alleged groping. According to Brian Ebden, the fiancé of 21-year-old student Nadia Abrahams, Sir Alex Ferguson could face civil action.
When asked what course the action might take, Ebden said:
I HOPE YOU DO AS WELL AS DUNPHY
"That will be up to the legal counsel to decide and to define, based on all the evidence, once we've got it in place.
"We do now have a material witness who witnessed this, who saw him grab Nadia, but that will come to light shortly." (probably in the Sunday papers eh!)
Meanwhile it seems unlikely that Fergie himself will take any action against Abrahams. Lawyer Alex Abercrombie claimed:
'Sir Alex hasn't made any decision on suing the complainants,' , 'He doesn't have a view on the matter yet. If he was to take legal action it would be a civil case, he would not pursue a criminal case.
'I have no doubt that he would win the case but there are other factors involved when going into litigation.
'He would have to look at his options and decide whether it was worth the inconvenience of flying to South Africa to attend a trial, the publicity that it would attract and whether he would recoup the money?'
