‘Former footballer George Best has been charged with drink
driving. Police say they stopped the former Manchester
United player in Merton, south-west London, on Friday
morning. Mr Best, 57, from West Ewell, Surrey, was arrested
and taken to Wimbledon police station. He is due to appear
at Wimbledon Magistrates' Court on Monday.’
