HE'S MAKING IT UP!
On Madrid's training not being up to scratch Figo said:
"Well, I think I'm fit enough and I don't agree with David on that point. This year we did the work we could do, when you take into account we were playing every Wednesday-Sunday-Tuesday with La Liga and the Champions League.

"When we had so many games it was difficult to train any more with a schedule like that. Of course, I always think I could do better and at this stage of the season you will not be what you were physically at the beginning of the season. It depends how you think about it.
"David is my friend. After the game I didn't get the chance to see him much and since then I've not been able to get in touch with him. I know I will see him on July 16, when we meet up again for next season, and I'd just like to wish him a good holiday.
"Of course, I have sympathy for him and for England. But one of the two countries had to go out and it was better for me and for Portugal that England left the tournament."
Though from the way Figo been playing it'd be as well for him to claim he was unfit too.
