HE WOULD COPE IN ITALY

RUI COSTA believes it is time for David Beckham to up sticks and try a new footballing experience in Italy.

He said: "A lot of players are used to only one way of playing and could not adapt to Italian football.But Beckham could do it very easily. He has such a sure touch and great ability to pass over long and short range - he would be perfect for Italian football. He also has a lot of experience, which is a key thing when you are moving from one big club to another one."

He added: "With his quality and experience he could risk a change. It is good for a player to have another experience, not only from the point of view of football, but life in general."
