Dinamo Moscow have signed former Manchester United and Rangers winger Andrei Kanchelskis in a one-year deal.
The 34-year-old has the option to extend the contract for a further season after a much-travelled career which most recently saw him at Southampton.
Kanchelskis, who hails from Ukraine but opted to play for Russia on the break-up of the Soviet Union, spent two weeks on trial with the club and admitted he had received offers from elsewhere.
"I had several offers but I had a preliminary agreement with Dynamo and I decided to be true to that," he told Russian daily Sport-Express.
"I had interest from Qatar and Saudi Arabia and when I was on trial at Dynamo two Russian Premier Liga teams also offered me terms.
"But the board of the club fulfilled their promises and I can see that Dynamo has big ambitions."
