Have Manchester United lost their mojo

The question has to be asked do United have the power to attract the best players or is money more a factor than history and stature? Now thereÂ’s nothing to say United were ever actually interested in these players, but the question if they werenÂ’t is why not? ThereÂ’s no question that Manchester United fans will feel they need to strengthen if they are going to challenge Chelsea and Manchester City this season, with Wayne Rooney playing below standard (only three games in so we won't get carried away) and Daley Blind having to cover at Centre back United need to add to their squad.

Van GaalÂ’s approach has to come into question, Juan Mata much like David Silva needs to be behind the striker to be fully effective rather than Januzaj who is naturally a winger way

The David De Gea situation needs to be resolved, losing him to Madrid will be a massive blow considering how many points he has gained United over the last few years but sitting in the reserves isnÂ’t going to benefit anyone

De Gea could be sold to Madrid and the money spent on a world class striker

Wayne Rooney undoubtedly has the talent but he needs to play as the centre forward rather than tracking back to midfield trying to create the goals.

ItÂ’s easy enough to say oh United need to just go out and buy, but the biggest question is who? Pedro chose Chelsea over United, Otamendi chose City so why can't United attract the best players? Gareth Bale and Neymar are the latest players rumoured to be swapping Spain for England but how realistic are these transfers? Neymar is unlikely, but Gareth Bale could be the perfect signing

Bale has had a tough time of things the past season at Madrid and Man United need attacking presence, real are desperate to bring De Gea in so a swap deal could be ideal

A front three of Bale Rooney and Depay would excite fans, not to mention Schneiderlin and Schweinsteiger behind Mata in midfield that would surely be a worry for any team coming up against the reds.

One thing that is pretty certain if United don't strengthen itÂ’s going to be an almighty challenge for them to reclaim the Premier League title.
