GREAT NEWS!
Gabriel Heinze has been named in Argentina's provisional Olympic squad of 30 players, set to be reduced to 18 for the tournament.
Each country is allowed to select 3 players over 23 years old.
If he is called up for the Olympics, United will be without him until the start of September and he will miss their first four Premiership games. He will also be absent for the Community Shield clash with Arsenal on August 8 and United's two-legged Champions League qualifier.
Meanwhile Heinze's former coach at PSG, Luis Hernandez, has claimed he was a disruptive influence in the dressing room. Heinze responded:
"People have said many things about me in the past. They say that I am a player who makes things difficult for the manager. But this is a dream for me and when I go to Manchester I will use my energy in the right way for the football club.
"I still cannot believe I am a Manchester United player. It's every footballer's dream. I only spent a few days in Manchester and then I had to leave, so I had no time to think about it.''
Ronaldo is also set to play in Athens for Portugal.
