The 35-year-old United midfielder's cabinet is filled with trophies from domestic football level but he has only caps to show for his appearances for his country, as they have never qualified for the top tournaments during his playing time.
"I think if you've played for your country and want to go into coaching or management, that has got to be the ultimate job to do," Giggs told The Independent on Sunday.
"The build-up (to a major tournament) gets you excited as a fan; I can only imagine what it's like as a player and I'll never experience that."
