GIGGS TO INTER
Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti has admitted that there is little prospect of the Italian club making a move for Ryan Giggs. With most Italian clubs reeling from overspending in recent years Moratti perhaps the chance of Giggs playing for Inter has passed. Especially as Inter have been quoted as being 62 Million Euro in debt.
"I don't know if there is this possibility of bringing Giggs to Inter," Moratti told Inter's official website.
"Every year the press speak about Giggs but I believe that Manchester [United] are still interested in Giggs.
"For the time being there is nothing.
"There is only the fact that everyone would like him, he is a regular in the Manchester United team and with [David] Beckham he is one of the pillars of the squad.
"You all know the current football situation and it is not the time to dream but to remain with our feet firmly on the ground."
Things don't seem to be going too well off the field for United's next Champions League opposition. According to Soccer Investor, Juventus have declared pre-tax losses of 4.2 million Euros (£2.8million) for the last six months of 2002. Juve's profit in the transfer market has dropped to just 13 million Euros from 124 million Euros in the second half of 2001 when they sold Zidane to Real Madrid.
